Located at the core of the city, the Amsterdam Centraal Train Station is the nexus of regional and long-distance rail services. It is directly linked to the Schiphol Airport with regular services and is at the end of a High-Speed Rail Corridor from Paris (Thalys). Even if the station is a historical landmark, opened in 1889, it has remained in operation and undertaken several renovations to maintain its connectivity within the local and regional transport system.
